Regalito de Elisa Dejistani para mi cumple...

No debe ser en esta sombra,
en este árbol,
en ese nido
que naufragué mi vuelo.

Pero este silencio
me habla de raíces,
de otoños que pasaron,
de hombres ausentes.

Entonces me torno bosque
y soy viento
.......... final retorno.

Non sarebbe stato in questa ombra
in quest'albero,
in questo nido
che naufragai il mio volo.

Ma questo silenzio

mi parla delle radici,
degli autunni che passarono,
degli uomini assenti.

Dunque divento bosco

e sono vento
.......... nel finale ritorno

Dos poemas de Gustavo Tisocco traducido al inglés por Irene Marks

SOLITARIA ESPERA
..................A mi abuela Rosa

Ya no estás en el barro
en la lluvia
ni en las tardes de sol.

Dejaste tu viejo sillón

entre las glicinas del jardín.

Ya no tengo por las noches

la dicha de oír antiguas leyendas
ni podré a tu lado visitar naufragios.

Ya no estás entre los lienzos

de rostros cenicientos / inmóviles,
dejaste tu tejido inconcluso
y tu melancolía aún se percibe sobre los
manteles.

Como en cada encuentro

prepararé el té.
Tal vez reposes tus cansadas manos
sobre mi solitaria espera.

Lonely wait
To Rosa, my grandmother

No longer are you in the mud

or the rain
or sunny afternoons.

You left your old chair

among the wisteria

At night no longer can I

listen happily to ancient legends
nor visit shipwrecks by your side

No longer are you among the paintings

of still / ashen faces,
your knitting lies unfinished
and the table-cloths
still reflect your sadness.

Just like at every meeting

I will make tea.
Perhaps you’ll rest your tired hands
on my lonely wait.

La casa permanece en la aldea.
Su blanco se cubrió de grises atemporales.
Sobre la maleza se vislumbran aún
rastros de fuego.

Tras los cristales quedan encerradas

eternas nostalgias.

enterramos.

Desprevenidos nos atrapó la tormenta,

tú perdiste el paraíso, yo quedé solo,
igual que un búho.

La casa sigue ahí,

los fantasmas somos nosotros.

The house still lies in the village.
Timeless grey covered its whiteness.
On the overgrowth you can still glimpse
the remains of a fire.

Behind glass eternal nostalgias

lie imprisoned.
Remember, brother, that nap
when murals and faces watched us?
The martyrs are still moving
through Persian carpets and burned out candles

I was told that at dawn

white Ana still searches for us
between sheets and ecstasy
and what was once a moan is now a lament.
If you go near the walls you’ll still notice
old laughter, piano music and spilled wine.

If windy, the garden chair still rocks

The same sky, unchanging,
is lit up by that moon.
Between stairways and gates
our secrets linger still.
Today we could climb the poplar
we once buried.

We were caught unawares in the storm,

you lost paradise, I was left alone,
like an owl.

The house still lies there,

now we are the ghosts.
